#31: 고백 (Go Back)
by 2pm
Released: May 6, 2013 | Album: 3집 – Grown | [Listen] [Review]
Another star from 2pm’s 3rd album. Much like “Listen to This Song and Come Back,” 2pm started to resembled their old selves in this song about wanting to forget a painful relationship.
#30: 미행 (그림자 : Shadow)
by 에프엑스 (f(x))
Released: July 29, 2013 | Album: 2집 – Pink Tape | [Listen] [Review]
“Shadow” delivered a very feminine, and fresh sound that hadn’t been heard in Kpop or from f(x) before. The group used the song to tease their stellar album, but I, like many fans I assume, were wishing they had promoted with this song, rather than the super predictable “Rum Pum Pum Pum.”
#29: Special ft. Jennie Kim of YG New Artist
by 이하이 (Lee Hi)
Released: March 7, 2013 | Album: 1집 – First Love Part 1 | [Listen] [Review]
Lee Hi and YG trainee, Jennie Kim, haunted with their song of a painful, but “Special” romance. For two, 16 year old (at the time), Lee Hi and Jennie Kim delivered this song soulfully, and like women who’ve really been scorned by love.
#28: 나쁜여자 (Bad Girl)
by 레이디스 코드 (Ladies Code)
Released: March 7, 2013 | Album: CODE#01 나쁜여자 | [Listen]
Ladies Code made their debut with “나쁜여자 (Bad Girl),” and jazz styled number that helped to show that Kpop can be so much more than overly sexy or excessively aegyo for a girl group.
#27: Airplane
by 에프엑스 (f(x))
Released: July 29, 2013 | Album: 2집 – Pink Tape | [Listen] [Review]
Yet another great song from f(x)’s 2nd album, “Airplane” introduced yet another new sound, and style for the SM quintet, which helped to show listen that f(x) is one of their agency’s strongest, and most versatile groups.
