Unless your living under a rock, the last 2 days have been some of the most controversial in Kpop for the last year. THREE idol relationships were exposed yesterday, and they have fans of every fandom flipping their lids in shock or anger. First to hit the press was news of T-ara’s Soyeon dating idol veteran, Oh Jong Hyuk, former member of Click B. And, as if this information wasn’t shocking enough, it was revealed the two have been an item for a whopping three years!!

DSP Media came forward to make a statement on behalf of Oh Jung Suk to Sports Seoul, saying:

“Oh Jong Hyuk and Soyeon are meeting well. Oh Jong Hyuk, who has good manners and has a kind personality, fell for Soyeon’s cute charms. Please watch over them beautifully.” Core contents Media also apparently confirmed, “Their parents and families are aware of their relationship. Oh Jong Hyuk and Soyeon are carefully dating and they ask for your support.” 

Then Core Contents Media made a statement to Xsportsnews:

“Soyeon and Oh Jong Hyuk have been dating for 3 years… The two have been meeting each other for a long time, and the photos revealed are when they met up for their 1000th day party… They were meeting quietly even before Oh Jong Hyuk left for his enlistment. Even though T-ara had activities, Soyeon waited for him.”

My thoughts. I could care less. As I am sure most of you agree, there wasn’t too much shocking about this couple. There is only a 4 year age difference, which is respectable, and besides there are much more juicy, and jaw dropping relationships to care about. Frankly, Hyeri and Tony’s 5 month old relationship is loads more interesting than this one.

Next. Infinite’s L is making serious headlines with rumors of his being in a relationship with some choco-holic chick named Kim Do Yeon. If your like me, and had no idea who this girl is prior to this dating rumor, let me break it down. She is an internet shopping mall CEO. She appeared on tvN’s “Martian Virus” where she earned the nickname “chocolate girl” because of revelation that she had only eaten chocolate for the past six years. A real crazy.

She apparently posted this poem in Korean on her Twitter:

ㄴ.ㅓ 보고있나 더 이상 난쟁이 아닌 애!

보잘 것 없어져도 언제나 네 옆에 있어 줄거

고 난 변하지 않을거니까 항상 순수한 너라

파티나 클럽 같은 데 싫어해서 갔다오면 해

명시키고 다른 친구랑 놀면 질투도 하지만

수명이 다 할 때까진 쭉 우린 이어져 있을거

야. 어제처럼 다신 싸우지 말자. 사랑해

Translation: “Are you watching?  You’re no longer a midget!  Even though you’re no longer a nobody, I will always be by your side and as I’m not going to change, I will demand an explanation if you, innocent as usual, go to one of those clubs or parties you dislike and I will be jealous if you hang out with another friend.  However, we will always be together until the end of our lives.  Let’s never fight like we did yesterday.  I love you.“

Notice the first letter of each line is in bold. Well thats because hawk-eyed netizens realized those letter spelled out the sentence: “ㄴ(L) 보고파 명수야” meaning “L, I miss you, Myungsoo.”

Then, netizens also found that a mysterious Kim Do Yeon was thanked in L’s section on Infinite’s “Thanks To” album. It took them a day but Woollim Entertainment came forward with a statement to explain after these pictures of L allegedly on a shopping date with Do Yeon in a grocery store surfaced:

“L and Kim Do Yeon became close friends after being acquainted through a mutual friend… However, they are not dating like it has been said…INFINITE, including L, even now, are hard at work on their world tour.”

Another person from WE came forward with more explanation:

Kim Do Yeon is one of many friends that L came to know towards the start of their world tour through another friend… From what I know, they are just two among many close friends. They are not a couple.”

The agency also spoke to media outlets to clarify saying:

“INFINITE has been on a world tour starting August. Currently, INFINITE, their managers, and staff are at Bangkok. We weren’t able to confirm it with him until later so our official statement was also late… Due to the rehearsals and tour preparations, the members and reps are all very busy…The two are just friends who came to know one another due to another friend. It hasn’t been all that long since they’ve been friends. They’re not dating like it’s been said.”

Yet ANOTHER rep had this to say:

“Because L was handling schedule overseas, it took us some time to confirm. He said they are just simply friends… He wasn’t aware of all the matching clothes and shoes and is quite shocked himself… He met Kim Do Yeon at a gathering with friends, and became close with her along with others.” 

In reference to the tweet:

“Since Kim Do Yeon is close with L, it seems like she was just expressing her affection also in the point of view as a fan, it doesn’t seem like it means anything more than that.”

In reference to the thank you on the album:

“We don’t know if that Do Yeon is that Do Yeon.”

My thoughts on this relationship is again, who cares? She isn’t a celebrity so there no shock factor here for me. Its funny having the Woollim deny it when it seems pretty obvious.

Notice that the time stamp says September 6th 3:45 pm, but its pitch black. Netizens also want to know if this many people go out for drinks at 3:45 in the evening. Also they said the time stamp is from the KakaoTalk  app when a message is sent. Also, Sulli is wearing a hat in one pic but not the other. And finally she went from sitting on a blue chair to a red one.
