• Song Joong Ki Announces he will be enlisting on August 27th! He released a statement to fans through his agency:

“How are you? This is Song Joong Ki. Recently, I received the enlistment notice from the Military Manpower Administration. I will enlist on August 27. I will conclude my promotional activities well during the time I have left and plan to enter the training facility. I sincerely thank everyone who has supported and loved me. Since I can’t give my farewell greeting to each and every one of you, I am delivering my thankful heart through this message. I will return after carrying out my military duties for 2 years. ^^ Until I can greet you all with a good production, please be healthy and well.”

Song Joong Ki will hold a fan meeting on August 17th to say goodbye to fans.

• Cha Seung Won’s son, Cha No Ah, is charged with sexual assualt of a minor. He allegedly locked a 19 year old high school girl in a studio apartment where he repeatedly sexually assualted her. The student’s lawyer made this statement on August 2nd:

“Mr. Cha (No-Ah) locked her into a vacation house that his grandfather owned since April until now and sexually assaulted and threatened her multiple times.“

Cha Seung Won came forward on Augsut 4 with an apology:

“I am Cha Seung Won. Before the actor Cha Seung Won, as a father who wasn’t able to raise his son well, I apologize from the bottom of my heart. Aside from all of the facts, as a father with a son who has been hit with a controversy, I feel a sense of moral responsibility and I am unable to hold in my deep sadness. I bow my head and apologize once again.”

• Actress Gong Hyun Joo, and actor Lee Sang Yeop revealed they are a couple. Gong Hyun Joo’s agency released this statement:

“When we checked, we were told that they have been dating for 6-7 months.“

Lee Sang Yeop’s agency also made this statement confirming the relationship:

“They’re dating. They’ve known each other while, but they started dating recently.“

While, Lee Sang Yeop posted this message to his fans:

“I think you all saw the article. I was really surprised, but I felt apologetic to all of you. I’m sorry that you had to find out through an article, even though you should have known first as people who loved and cared for me. I always thought, ‘I’ll tell them someday’, but my laziness gave you this disappointment. I’m going to work hard by thinking of how sorry I feel on not thinking of you first. I’ll be even better and come back with better news. Good night.“

• Actress, and mother Jang Shin Young and her “Thorn Flower” co-star Kang Kyun Joon are an item! A source close to the couple made this statement:

“Kang Kyung Joon and Jang Shin Young, who were costars on the jTBC drama Thorn Flower, have been dating since March. Kang Kyung Joon embraced Jang Shin Young, who has already been through a divorce, and Jang Shin Young accepted him in turn because she was touched by this.”

For those who don’t know, Jang Shin Young married marketing director Wi Seung Ceol back in 2006, and the two had a son before divorcing in 2009.
